De Havilland Mosquito Mk.VI - Cobi WW2
De Havilland Mosquito Mk.VI - Cobi WW2
The de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito Mk. VI was one of the most successful combat aircraft used during WWII. The Mosquito was a British twin-engine, shoulder-winged, multi-role combat aircraft constructed almost entirely of wood. It therefor gained a nickname, The Wooden Wonder. It utilized construction that was unheard of at the time -- spruce wood, plywood and balsa covered by a doped fabric. There were different versions manufactured including Fighter Aircraft, Fighter-Bomber Aircraft, Night Fighter Aircraft and Photo-Reconnaissance Aircraft.
This unique new model from COBI precisely replicates the original plane. Features include movable parts such as the propellers and wheels, and also has a bay that opens where missiles can be hidden and dropped on the enemy. In addition, the set consists of a plate with the name of a model printed on and a sheet of stickers. It also includes a figure of a RAF Pilot no. 305 Polish Squadron Lasham Airfield, UK Spring 1944.
